NOW HIRING CONCRETE MIXER TRUCK DRIVERS! STARTING AT $25-$29 PER HOUR W/EXTRA COMPENSATION FOR CONVEYOR OPERATOR!
Wayne Concrete in Shinglehouse, PA is now taking applications for responsible, full-time Ready Mix Concrete Truck Drivers. Applicants must be able to drive manual transmission.
No prior experience required in hauling/mixing of concrete. We will train the right candidates. A positive, can-do attitude is a must. Work could be up to a 100 mile radius, but you will be home every night.
Day shift Monday β Friday with some weekends and overtime required.
Job Description
ο· Ensure the highest quality of product delivery and customer satisfaction.
ο· Load, mix and safely haul ready mix concrete to various jobsites.
ο· Check all load-related documentation to ensure that you understand the location of the delivery, verifying instructions and routes.
ο· Awareness of the type of concrete as well as any extra items required for delivery.
ο· After loading, check the condition of the load and make any water adjustments while mixing.
ο· Must climb ladders on the rear of the mixer to inspect loads.
ο· Collaborate with other drivers as part of a driving team on some deliveries.
ο· Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
ο· Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle service and repair status, delivery records and logs following applicable state and federal regulations.
ο· Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions assuring that vehicle position is correct for loading at different batch plants.
ο· Obtain receipts or signatures when loads are delivered and collect payment for services when required.
ο· Communicate effectively to exchange necessary information with customers, dispatch, supervisors, or other drivers.
ο· Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as adding oil, fuel, and radiator fluid, and perform minor truck repairs.
ο· Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
ο· Maintain and clean the truck and the mixer unit.
ο· Other responsibilities include yard work, making bumper blocks and any other duties as required.
Requirements
ο· Valid CDL (Class A preferred) with tanker endorsement.
ο· Clean driving record (violations in the last three years.)
ο· Current DOT physical card.
ο· Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
ο· Ability to operate and maintain equipment.
ο· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
ο· Physical capability to handle the demands of the job.
Conditions of Employment
ο· Successful candidates must submit to pre-employment drug/alcohol screen.
ο· This position requires FMCSA regulated ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.
Work Environment
ο· Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
