The New Jersey State Chrysanthemum Society held its annual show at Laurelwood Arboretum on October 12 & 13,2024. The weather was perfect, the attendees enthusiastic and the entries wonderful! There were entries from our spring workshop. Of special note were 3 entries in the Junior Division. Steve Avallone took the most blues. Chuck Turner was the runner-up. Our thanks to Laurelwood Arboretum, our gracious host, and the very helpful volunteers & staff.

Laurelwood Arboretum, Wayne, NJ, hosted an NJSCS workshop, "Learn to Grow and Show Chrysanthemums," on Thursday, May 30. Fifteen enthusiastic folks heard experienced growers Steve Avallone and Chuck Blewett outline the process while watching Cindy Hedin's slide presentation. Attendees then potted up 3 exhibition and 3 Belgian mum cuttings to take home and grow through the summer. Surely some will have entrees in the fall NJSCS show October 12 & 13.

The New Jersey State Chrysanthemum Society held it's first post-Covid show at the Laurelwood Arboretum on October 14 & 15. Many beautiful entries and lots of visitors!
