Thank you all for your incredible support and referrals over the past couple of years.

Some of you know that my family and I nearly left Signal so I could pursue an architecture degree, but in the end, we just couldn’t leave a place we love so much! As I look forward to new opportunities, I’ve decided to step away from my handyman work and focus fully on the next chapter. Since I have a hard time saying no, I wanted to make this official and let you know I won’t be taking on new projects. Thank you again for everything. And if you see me around town, please don’t be a stranger!

Porch bed installed in Old Town. It meant taking down part of the ceiling, but now it’s up and secure!

Before and after of some porch work in Old Town on an exterior column. Replaced the rotting wood and repaint.

This old deck in Old Town was a hazard, but it wasn’t worth rebuilding since the homeowner is planning an eventual addition to this area. So the old one got demolished and hauled away, revealing old concrete stairs. Demo + remove + clean-up.

Before and during: my wife needed a separate office space where she wasn’t interrupted by curious kids. So I widened the doorway, minimized the left bookcase, and feathered in a little new flooring. Next we’ll add trim, paint, and install hardware. She tells me she wasn’t anxious at all getting demo photos while she was away 😂 looking forward to the finished project.

We ended up taking a different approach with this door, but the end result looks great! From Battleship Grey to Urbane Bronze. Stripped off years of built-up paint, shaved the bottom off the door, and gave it a few fresh coats in the darker color that complemented the stonework on this stunning home.
