We want to take a second and introduce ourselves. We are Josh and Sarah Holmes, the new owners of Dans Key and Lock Shop. I, Josh, am a 2nd generation locksmith, with 24 years experience. My wife Sarah works with our marketing and billing department, as well as homeschools our children Tyson and Kylie, who are always helping out around the store. I bought Security Locksmith and Door Service in Sikeston about 17 years ago, and have expanded to include multiple additional services since then, including automotive, access control and Door repair.
Just to clarify, when we were approached about purchasing the company, we were told up front that both employees had already put their leaving notice in, and that the previous owner would not be keeping the store open past this Friday. So we understood fully that we were buying a business with no employees and a timetable for us to have everything moved by this Friday. That said we have both enjoyed getting to meet the previous owner and his wife, and are excited for them in their retirement. Also, both employees were amazing for their final week, helping us transition. They even spent a day with us at the store in Sikeston and agreed that their customers are in good hands.
We appreciate everyone being so patient with us through this transition, and understand that it will be a temporary inconvenience for some that need to bring something to our Sikeston store for service, but we are sure that if you do make it down you will be amazed by the services we offer. In the meantime, we are working hard to find a new location for our walk in store in Cape. As far as our mobile service, we will continue to service the Cape and Jackson area with no interruption.
