Welcome to Carolina Forest Gardens! We are a brand new addition to the NC Piedmont's local food economy. Join us as we embark on a mission to create perennial food systems which will provide delicious, nutritious, and soon certified organic fruits, nuts, and vegetables for surrounding areas. We’ll be building our production systems from the ground up. This is a tremendously exciting o

pportunity, since this will allow up to keep our infrastructure as low-impact and efficient as possible. If you’re interested in sustainable design, Permaculture, or just want to get you hands dirty working on an awesome project, please contact us. Volunteers are more than welcome. There will be many opportunities for learning, as we will be incorporating natural/earthen building, rainwater harvesting, earthworks, organic gardening, plant propagation, and many other techniques into our systems.

Today most people in the world eat mostly domesticed plants such as grain, rice and corn and domesticated animals like cows, chickens and chickens.
