Multifamily can be beautiful! ✨

Thoughtful multifamily design is about so much more than fitting multiple homes onto one property. It’s about creating a building that feels intentional, balanced, welcoming, and residential from every angle.

With this design, we focused on strong rooflines, warm natural materials, clean modern detailing, individual entries, and a façade that has depth and character without feeling overly busy. The goal was to give each residence its own sense of identity while still allowing the entire building to read as one cohesive architectural composition.

Good multifamily design also means thinking carefully about how people actually experience the property. Driveways, entry locations, landscaping, windows, privacy, parking, and the relationship to the street all matter. When those pieces are considered together from the beginning, higher-density housing doesn’t have to feel repetitive or institutional. It can feel warm, upscale, and completely at home in a neighborhood.

We love finding ways to make multifamily housing efficient and buildable without sacrificing curb appeal or thoughtful design.

We’re having so much fun with this restaurant design at Wavra Design Co. 🖤

The goal was to create something modern, warm and distinctly Pacific Northwest, with strong rooflines, dark exterior finishes, large windows and just enough character to make the building feel memorable without being overdone.

Commercial projects like this are such a fun opportunity to think about architecture, function, identity and how a space feels from the moment someone pulls in.

This one is all about **European Scandinavian Modern** simple forms, rich natural materials, warm wood, dark textured siding, stone, and a landscape that feels a little wild and organic.

What I love most is that the architecture itself doesn’t have to be complicated to make a statement. Thoughtful material choices can completely transform a home and give even familiar rooflines an entirely new personality.

Warm. Moody. Modern. A little unexpected. And definitely not your typical farmhouse.

There is just something about a beautiful, classic, sprawling farmhouse that never goes out of style.

Long, welcoming rooflines, layers of gables, a generous front porch, and a home that stretches naturally across the property — this one was designed to feel timeless, comfortable, and completely at home in the country.

We love creating homes that have presence without feeling overdone. Homes that feel beautiful from the road, welcoming when you pull into the driveway, and even better once you step inside.

There’s something really exciting about multi-family design when it doesn’t have to feel multi-family. 🤍

We loved working closely with our builder on this triplex concept to create something that feels unique, comfortable, and intentional while still making smart decisions about function, constructability, and long-term value.

The Mountain Modern style brings so much warmth to this design. Natural wood tones, strong gable forms, clean black accents, and modern garage doors give each residence its own presence while still allowing the entire building to feel cohesive.

But great design is about so much more than the exterior. We’re always thinking about how people will actually live here: comfortable floor plans, natural light, privacy between units, usable outdoor spaces, and layouts that simply make sense.
That collaboration between designer + builder is one of our favorite parts of what we do. When we can work together early, share ideas, and think creatively about both style and construction, we can create multi-family housing that feels less like a development and more like home.

There are some homes that feel extra special long before anyone ever moves in. ❤️

This one is for a very special young family who has already been through more than most should have to navigate in their early years. Now, they are ready to get back up, move forward, be together, and start living again. And I cannot tell you how honored I am to have a small part in that.

Working with this sweet couple took me right back to when my own babies were little. Those years are busy, messy, loud, exhausting, hilarious, and so incredibly fun. They also reminded me just how important a well-functioning home can be during that season of life. A place where everyone can gather, kids can grow, life can happen, and at the end of the day, everyone gets to come back together.

We put so much thought into making this home beautiful, of course, but even more importantly, making it work beautifully for their family and the life ahead of them.

I am genuinely so excited for this adorably sweet young couple and their babies. I cannot wait to watch this one come to life, see this family reunited under one roof, and know that after everything they have already walked through, they finally get to simply call it home. ❤️🏡

✨ Timeless design never goes out of style. ✨

One of my favorite parts of the design process is creating homes that feel like they’ve always belonged. This concept blends the charm and proportions of a classic 1920s American home with the comfort and efficiency of modern construction.

Crisp white lap siding, dark architectural shingles, divided light windows, generous overhangs, and a welcoming front porch give this home a sense of history, while thoughtful landscaping, sidewalks, and a pedestrian friendly streetscape create the kind of neighborhood where people actually want to walk and visit.

Good design is about more than square footage. It’s about creating a home that feels warm, inviting, and timeless from the very first glance.
