Good morning all, and Happy Friday! It's been brought to our attention that FAKE or SPAM Facebook accounts have been posting links to buy "Symphony Pools" merchandise on our photos. WE HAVE NOT AND DON'T PLAN ON SELLING ANY SYMPHONY POOLS APPAREL/GEAR TO THE PUBLIC. With that said we ask you to please ignore these posts, and DO NOT CLICK THESE LINKS. These posts will come from other fake accounts - NOT OURS. We have not been hacked to the best of our knowledge, just a constant target of these spam accounts.

Unfortunately, there's really nothing we can do about these comments - except report them to Facebook, block the user, and delete each comment individually. If anyone has any other suggestions, we would be happy to hear them.

We apologize to anyone that has been tagged in these posts, as they are usually tagging our friends, followers, and clients to bait you to these links. We ask you to just kindly send us a private message if it happens in the future, and we will do our best to remedy each situation. We had the opportunity to donate to an amazing cause this last week! Please check out the Water Project and donate if you'd like. This will provide clean and reliable drinking water to a community in Africa. Let's help Master Pools Guild raise $60,000 for this community.

Check out this great article about winterizing pools by AQUA Magazine. Most of us that live in California will not have to do these steps. But, for those that live in colder mountain climates or areas where winter reaches freezing temperatures consistently, this is great information. Even if you're curious about the process, the article is a great read!

Due to the tragic numbers of unintentional childhood drowning deaths in the United States, the National Drowning Prevention Alliance came up with various types of strategies and physical barriers that would work together to help prevent drowning and promote water safety. All of the layers are meant to be used constantly and simultaneously.

The 5 Layers of Protection consist of:
1. Barriers & Alarms
2. Supervision
3. Water Competency
4. Life Jackets
5. Emergency Preparation

May 15th ~ is International Water Safety Day and May is National Water Safety Month! This is absolutely not talked about enough and should be much more!! Parents - REMEMBER to ALWAYS practice safe swimming - ESPECIALLY if you are with children of any age.. NEVER - leave kids unattended or unsupervised when in, or near a body of water (NOT just swimming pools). Accidents can happen in a matter of seconds! We hope for all our amazing clients, friends, and family to enjoy their swimming pools for many years with their families and loved ones!

"Since 2003, members of the Coalition have worked to raise awareness and highlight the importance of public education regarding safer practices for kids and adults when they are in and around water of all kinds. The event, celebrated every May by thousands of aquatics facilities, businesses, and professionals, provides educational programming, public service announcements, government proclamations, business promotions, and water safety-themed materials designed to help prevent water-related illnesses, injuries, and fatalities.
