Upon initial inspection of this one-year-old shower, one might be astonished to learn that a complete overhaul was necessary. While the exterior craftsmanship wasn't terrible, it fell short of excellence due to noticeable lippage throughout. When we were brought in to assess the situation, the floor grout had already undergone multiple repairs. Moisture testing revealed excessive moisture retention, indicating deficiencies in the waterproofing system.

Opening it up revealed that there was much more than just moisture issues lurking beneath the surface. Stay tuned for photos of the jaw-dropping tear out!

🚩Let's dive into the notable red flags we discovered during the deconstruction of this three-year-old shower. The installation demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of shower construction and very poor ex*****on of craftsmanship.

Fortunately, the curb failure resulted in a minor leak, limiting the damage to the surrounding area. Given the extent of the issues uncovered during demolition, the homeowner is lucky to have avoided more severe damage.
