Journey Construction has recently finished renovations on a 45,000 sq. ft. facility to support the continued growth of South Dakota State University’s Nursing and Pharmacy programs in Sioux Falls.

At the SDSU Metro Center, high-tech simulation labs will give students hands-on, real-world training, while modern classrooms and dedicated faculty and staff spaces create an environment built specifically for healthcare education. This project expands SDSU’s ability to educate and prepare the next generation of nursing and pharmacy professionals who will go on to serve communities across our region. Gumaro Robles joins SFC Civil Constructors as a Foreman, bringing more than a decade of construction experience and a strong background in crew leadership, safety and project coordination.

Senia Borg joins Journey Group as a Digital Marketing Specialist, bringing extensive experience in digital marketing, content strategy, analytics and campaign management.

This week’s project came with a few four-legged clients at the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society.

Employees spent their volunteer time building new shade structures for the shelter’s dog walking area, creating more comfortable spaces for the animals in their care. A few hours of work, some familiar tools, and a worthwhile way to support our community. Thanks to our Team Builders group for coordinating a successful day!
