Construction is complete on the 21,000 sq. ft. Avera Cancer Institute located in the Ness Family Center on the Avera Sacred Heart Hospital Fox Run Health Campus. This is a project built to enhance both cancer treatment capabilities and the patient experience. The new facility includes additional infusion bays, an in-house compounding pharmacy, dedicated CT scanner, laboratory space, meditation room, wig salon, more natural light, and a cutting-edge linear accelerator vault for advanced cancer treatment.

Interested in seeing the space firsthand? The public is invited to tour the facility from 1–3 p.m. on Friday, June 26.

Structural steel is now complete at the Avera Heart Hospital Advanced Cardiac & Vascular Imaging Center, helping define the shape of the new three-story addition along I-229. The 35,000 sq. ft. expansion will bring advanced imaging services including PET/CT, MRI, echocardiography, vascular sonography, and nuclear stress testing into one facility designed to improve efficiency, comfort, and access to heart and vascular care.
