Join us at Green's Supply Depot in Ripley for a hands-on livestock education series led by Carter Hall, a WVU Animal & Nutritional Sciences graduate and former Ohio State ATI Livestock Judging Team member.

🕕 All sessions run from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Learn daily care, nutrition, showmanship, and what judges look for in the show ring. This is a great opportunity for youth exhibitors preparing for the Jackson County Fair and other local fairs.

🐄🐖🐑🐐 Introducing the Green's Summer Livestock Program! 🐐🐑🐖🐄

Green's Supply Depot in Ripley is excited to offer a 5-week educational livestock program designed for youth interested in growing their knowledge and skills in livestock projects. Sessions will be held from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and will cover daily care, nutrition, and showmanship for the four major livestock species: cattle, pigs, sheep, and goats.

Leading the program is Carter Hall, a recent West Virginia University graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal & Nutritional Sciences. Carter also spent two years on The Ohio State ATI Livestock Judging Team, giving him extensive hands-on experience evaluating and working with livestock. His educational background and competitive judging experience make him exceptionally qualified to help young exhibitors succeed both in and out of the show ring.

📅 Program Schedule:
🐄 June 15 – Cattle
🐖 June 24 – Pigs
🐑🐐 June 29 – Sheep & Goats
🏆 July 13 – Livestock Evaluation & Judging

During the final session, participants will learn how judges evaluate livestock and what characteristics they look for when selecting top animals. This is valuable knowledge for anyone preparing for fair season.

Whether you're exhibiting at the Jackson County Fair or fairs throughout the surrounding counties, this program offers a great opportunity to build confidence, improve your livestock skills, and learn from an experienced industry professional.

We were proud to host our community at Green’s Supply Depot today as we helped send off the Ripley High School Baseball Team on their quest for a back-to-back State Championship! ⚾🏆

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to support these outstanding young athletes. Events like this remind us how special our community is and how much pride we have in our Vikings.
