This is a re-deck in Smithville.
Original was an all wood stained deck with old vinyl railings.
We installed Wolf decking fastened with Coretex hidden fasteners, and Trex composite railing. Azek fascia replaced the stained cedar.

I wanted to put this out there as a caution to everyone about knowing who you are hiring to work in your home.
This is a custom shower by a smooth talking contractor that knew just enough about this kind of work to get himself into trouble.
We have taken over a whole house remodel and have had to take apart both custom showers, along with other strange and incorrect things throughout the home.
In these photos you will see an incorrectly built shower bench that was doomed from the start.
The fiberglass pan is correct in that it is there, however it is NEVER ok to frame over top of the fiberglass, ESPECIALLY if you nail your framing through it!! The bench seemed to be an afterthought as you can see the wall tile and substrate were installed before the bench. If you can picture how a waterfall works, the water would have just seeped down the wall, behind the bench, and started its deterioration. The installer must have known this, because all of the framing is pressure treated exterior wood🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
Please make sure to vet your contractors. Do a little homework on proper technique so you can tell the smooth talker from the experienced installer.
Thanks to the great men that have taught me my craft over the years, we KNOW what we are doing in every aspect of our projects.
