The Crippled Gardener

The Crippled Gardener Living my dream while dealing with disabilities. Sharing my love of gardening and self-sufficiency. Helping to make the world a better place. M LOL!.

I am attempting to make my property as edible as possible. I am also attempting to use all of our by products to nourish the earth by re-using everything possible. My grey-water is diverted to different garden areas, the chicken manure and hay are used in the garden also, as are the few kitchen by-products that are not fed to the chickens, by composting. All leaves and fallen branches are returned

to the earth. I have many more projects on a long list of things to do. These and any new ones will be shared as they float to the top.. I am into permaculture and hoping to get a Master Gardener title one day. I am disabled with many issues that I refuse to be stopped by. And I encourage anyone who lives with constant pain and disabilities to get out and pull a w**d. You might be surprised at where it will lead you. Have a blessed day.

She who aims high may reach her goal. She who aspires to nothing will gain nothing.

There would not be a world without trees. Please plant at least one this year! So many have been destroyed the last few years.

Working on my garden. Mostly in containers but okra and carrots are in the ground!

Time passes. Life moves on. We grow or regress. We change. For better or worse. My life, health and circumstances have all changed in the last year. One thing that has not changed though is my love of gardening. This spring I am again "The Crippled Gardener".

Ahhh Summer time! Don't you Love it! It is already in the 80's here. Plants are going in the garden and dreams of fresh pickles are in my head. Avacado's are coming into their season also. Here is a nice new pickle for your fridge. I plan to leave out the salt because I and my whole family have heart disease of one kind or another. Kicking the salt is really hard at first but with thought you can still enjoy most foods. You just have to use more seasonings at first... And of course eat your own cooking! Lol! Enjoy!
