An important announcement from Homestead Gardens

After careful consideration, Homestead Gardens has made the decision to close our Smyrna, Delaware location, including our wholesale division and landscaping services operating from that site. The Smyrna location is expected to close in mid-January 2026.

This decision was made by our president, Brian Riddle, following an extensive review of our business and a thoughtful evaluation of how best to position Homestead Gardens for long-term strength and sustainability.

We are deeply grateful for the relationships built during our time in Smyrna and for the opportunity to support customers, partners, and organizations across Delaware, including our work with the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.

We are especially appreciative of our Smyrna team and are committed to supporting them through this transition.

While Smyrna is closing, Homestead Gardens remains strong and fully operational at our Davidsonville and Severna Park locations. All Homestead Gardens gift cards remain valid and may be used at either location.

As part of the closing process, we will be holding a Smyrna-only store closing liquidation sale, with savings beginning at 75% off, starting on 12/26 and valid while supplies last. In store only. Excludes online orders.

Tomorrow’s the night! Join us Friday, November 14th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Homestead Gardens Smyrna for our annual Grand Illumination celebration.

Santa will be with us throughout the entire evening, greeting guests and spreading holiday cheer. The tree lighting is scheduled to take place around 6:00 PM, marking the start of the holiday season as our grounds come alive with thousands of sparkling lights.

Enjoy festive music, seasonal treats, and beverages ($) benefiting the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, and the warm community spirit that makes this event so special. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors for an evening filled with light, laughter, and holiday magic.
