I am realizing, though, that I need much smaller brushes if I’m going to continue painting this size. Thankfully, I was blessed by a group of dear friends with a Michael’s gift card, so commence brush shopping… 😆🤩🥰

I was thrilled to be able to paint from life on my 7-day cruise to Alaska and Canada! I didn't paint as much as I had anticipated, but that's ok because I was prioritizing being present with my family and genuinely soaking in the experience.

These three mini paintings were done while we were cruising into and out of Skagway, Alaska. The entire trip was absolutely FULL of stunning scenery and I took lots of photos, so I'll definitely be painting more from those!
Overall, this trip was absolutely a 10/10!

Thanks, mom & dad for the trip!! And thanks to my hubby & kiddos for the painting supplies for Mother's Day!! 🩵

For my upcoming June paint parties, I really wanted to offer a beach scene, but it definitely took me a bit to get it worked out! This type of painting is sooo vastly different than what I’m used to, but I definitely feel myself growing every time I try something new and step outside my comfort zone!

Anyways, remember to keep trying and don’t give up. 🏝️
