🌿 Same room, different season 🌿
Spring is here, Georgia! Ignore the 20° weather this morning, birds are chirping again this afternoon!
During the winter, I naturally lean into warmer, cozier elements like velvet curtains, deeper tones, and soft lighting to make our space feel tucked in and comfortable. As spring starts to roll in, I want our living space to feel lighter and more open, so I made a few small changes that make a huge impact but don't break the bank.
I swapped out the velvet curtains for light linen, changed the covers on a few throw pillows instead of replacing them entirely, traded thick blankets for softer textures (still not light colors, we have 6 dogs living in this house), and let in as much natural light as possible. I also added a bit of greenery to bring some life back into the space.
What I love about this approach is that it keeps your home feeling fresh without the pressure to start over every season. You’re not redecorating, simply adjusting the mood and letting your space evolve along with the time of year. And it takes a whopping 30 minutes to accomplish, at best.
It’s a good reminder that creating a new feeling in your home doesn’t have to come with a big price tag, just a little intention and a willingness to change the small things that often get overlooked.

💌 Bonus note: Reversible blankets like this throw are my favorite because they change easily with the seasons and are the perfect size and weight. It's the one you see on the back of the recliner in the two photos. My other favorite thing about it - dog hair doesn't stick! 🐾 https://a.co/d/0bjbgeUe
