Cacossa, P.E., LEED™ AP are dedicated to continuing the tradition of excellence Design Resources Group has nurtured since 1961.
Company Culture
Started as a partnership in 1961 and incorporated in 1973, Design Resources Group has built a reputation for meticulous attention to detail through all of the design and construction phases of a project. Our company culture is based on open communication and collaborative effort on each project. We understand the benefit of using our combined experiences to solve problems and we promote that involvement to all of our designers and project managers. We believe in research and fostering a learning environment. Toward that end, we have established a paid summer intern program for local architecture students. Students are paid while they learn about their chosen field in a practical setting. Our team is focused on the latest developments in technology and sustainable building designs to ensure long-lasting results in a superior facility. We also concentrate on giving our employees the responsibility for the success of each project. We believe that with this responsibility comes the satisfaction that a successful project can produce. The result is a happy cohesive staff with an average term of over eight years. In addition to our extensive portfolio of educational facilities, Design Resources Group has completed hundreds of diversified projects, including feasibility studies, maintenance facilities for the Department of Transportation, the Department of Community Affairs complex in Trenton, various U.S. Post Offices in New Jersey, and training facilities for the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard.
Communication
We establish ongoing and open communication with our clients. We consider the spectrum of program goals and then develop a design that will best meet those objectives. We also provide whatever assistance might be needed to garner governmental agency approval and communicate the resultant architectural plans to the public.
Innovation
Our firm is dedicated to a design philosophy that is rooted in research and we are committed to using the most current designs, materials, and methodologies. Why? By staying on top of technological advances, we are able to provide our clients with leading-edge facilities that not only respond to the needs of today, but are flexible enough to adapt and serve their communities for years to come.
Service
Our clients are our first priority. We design our relationships the same way we design our structures – with a solid foundation and painstaking attention to every detail. All of our interactions are based on trust, respect, integrity, and professionalism – qualities that endure beyond a building’s completion. We also believe in service to our surrounding community. That is why our team has members of the local chamber of commerce, servers at the local soup kitchen, members of local school boards, and board members of non-profit organizations like the Fighting Children’s Cancer Foundation, ACE New Jersey, the Butterfly Foundation and the Jeffery Perlach Foundation.
