Our award-winning studio is hiring architectural designers (3-5 years of experience), project architects (4-5 years of experience) and senior project architects (6-10 years of experience)

· Often the best candidates don't have an up-to-date resume or portfolio—they have been busy doing great work. If that describes you and you are great at what you do, then send us an email to start a conversation. [email protected]

· If you are seeking a change of pace, join an office that prioritizes smart detailing, authentic materials, and sustainable design with a focus on integrating architecture and landscape. Visit our website to see our portfolio of culturally significant and award-winning projects across the country.

· We are looking for smart team members with all-around experience. That said, we are always eager to hear from talented, hardworking new grads too.

· Diversity and gender balance is very important to us "Men apply for a job when they meet only 60% of the qualifications, but women apply only if they meet 100% of them" - Harvard Business Review

· We work on projects where good design matters: higher-ed, civic, cultural, residential

· We work efficiently and keep to 8 hours a day. We give overworked and under-appreciated talent (you know who you are) a new home and healthier environment. We support your work/life balance.

Charles and team Year Up are supporting the Pediatric Brain Tumor Research Fund at Dana Farber. His efforts have helped to fund the successful TAK580 trial, now FDA-approved. The drug, Ojemda, is now available from Day One Biopharmaceuticals, marking a monumental step forward in pediatric brain tumor treatment.

Design Journal 04.1: MODELS

We continue to work the design in 3D, often integrating the best aspects of each of the schemes. Models help us study vertical connections between spaces and demonstrate the pattern of sunlight.

Design Journal 04.3: SCHEME 3

Retaining the original brief to create a U-shaped house, this scheme opens an intimate, sheltered garden courtyard toward the south. A connector joins the bars to the north allowing for vertical circulation, and views from the entry through the house, and into the south-facing garden.

Design Journal 04.2: SCHEME 2

Pushing to the perimeter of the buildable site, this design creates an elongated, sided structure with two exterior courtyards, facing northeast and southwest. It maximizes the occupiable area and takes the fullest advantage of views across a meadow.

Design Journal 04.1: SCHEME 1

In this simple layout, two bars of living space join at a right angle, concentrating the entry sequence and vertical circulation at their intersection. A long landscape wall defines an outdoor room along its west side.
