We're back! 4 months ago the Mountain Fire ripped through this part of our nursery, destroying infrastructure and avocado trees, but not many nursery plants. Thousands had their plastic pots burned right off of them but survived. Our sales area is rebuilt and we're open to the public, Saturdays, April-June from 9:30-4. While you're in the area consider visiting Apricot Lane Farms , 10 minutes away. Other nurseries include Australian Native Plants & Otto and Sons Nursery .
Great food at Carraras Pastries in Moorpark. You can also place orders online for pickup other days of the week, or by mail. See you soon!

Still time for Spring blooms! Open Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Lilacs just finished but irises are still blooming thanks to our cool Spring. Daylilies are coming on and geraniums are showing off. 9:30 to 4:00 PM, 8000 Balcom Cyn Rd., Somis CA

What heat? We're still blooming!! After a record 10-day heatwave lots of us are looking wilted and burned, but not these tough beauties. They weren't going to let a little (or a lot of) heat interrupt their rebloom cycles. Now is a perfect time to plant. Shorter days stimulate root, instead of top growth

Bernice is on a roll!
Reblooming iris 'Bernices Legacy' put on a nice show in late March through April, then barely paused and sent up round 2! Today, June 18, over 200- 5 gal 'Bernices Legacy' have bud and bloom spikes here in the nursery.

Double deliveries to today. (Almost 30 years since she planted our & at !) 100's of daylilies to a country club re-design, then Victoria Falls irises for her church, and to her left a 15 gal Syringa Snowy Beach Party for Hancock Park. I double masked so you could see her smile, enjoying the early lilac bloom fragrance. Nancy's book has nice comments by architect .

Bees enjoyed a final Somis sunrise before heading to the San Joaquin Valley almond orchards to pollinate almonds. They'll be back in 2 months to pollinate our 2,000 avocado trees and feast on daylily pollen

Avocado Apocalypse! Winds this week meant no electricity, shredded trees and 15,000 lbs of avocados on the ground. We can't legally pack or sell windfall fruit, but we do share with friends and family.

Last minute, pre-Thanksgiving delivery had to go in our smaller van. Thankful for the order, for packing by Javier & Luis, and for the hard working Sprinter. From Greenwood, 90- 5g Daylilies, 44-1g Irises, 200-4" Pelargoniums, plus 10-5g, 7-15g Agaves & 30 Lavender grown by neighbors.
