Freeze-dried Sourdough starter Care Instructions
Day 1: Rehydrate starter with 2tsp un- chlorinated water (de-chlorinated tap water or bottled spring water). Rehydrate for 24hrs
Day 2: Feed starter with 50g rye flour and 50mL water (3Tbsp + 1tsp).
Day 3: discard half of Day 2 starter. Feed with flour of your choice 100g and 100mL un-chlorinated water.
"Day4": at this point you can Feed at 8hr or 12hr intervals. Repeat discard and Feed Instructions for Day 3.
Day 5: your starter should be ready for baking. Use in baking AFTER feeding, 8hrs at least.
--> It is best to educate yourself on how to feed, maintain, and use sourdough starter.
