For over 30 years, I’ve designed my gardens to ensure something is always in bloom from spring through autumn—striving for a landscape with no blooming gaps! It has taken my husband and I, and 2 children in tow, over 32 years to make Wandering Creek Acres into what it is today, a place for us to relax and focus on the things we love. Ok, so my husband may not totally agree with the relax part, own

ing a large piece of land (35 acres, not too big though) and an old farm that needs much love and care, is a ton of work. We purchased our 1876 built farmhouse in 1993 and at that time it was run down and a garbage dump. It took us years to just clean up the garbage that was piled around the farm. I think we found 4-5 broken humidifiers laying here and there in different piles of garbage. Today, as you can see from the pictures, we have cleaned up the place pretty well.

Today, I need to get out into the 'Biergarten' to pull weeds.

I’ve had some unwelcome tick visitors the last couple of times I was out there, so I’m a little wary of that garden. So frustrating!

We are up to 12+ this season. (My SIL picks and flicks them off his dog, so those go right back in the yard to breed. Erg!)

Do you collect and count the ticks you find?

Good morning friends! A brisk 60°F morning here on the farm! ☕️🌾

It looks like we got another nice dose of rain last night, bringing our total to over 5 inches for the month so far!

Considering we only got around half an inch of rain all of last month, this rain was much-needed and my gardens are absolutely loving it. 🌧️🌻
