At first glance, it might seem like this project added a room.

In reality, it changed how the entire home functions.

Before construction, this area was primarily outdoor deck space connecting different parts of the property.

Today, it's a light-filled gathering space that extends the home's living area while maintaining a strong connection to the outdoors through the new covered pavilion beyond.

One of our favorite moments came after the project was complete, when the homeowner shared that their home had become the gathering place—not just for family, but for friends as well. Their kids now regularly invite friends over, and everyone has a comfortable place to spend time together.

The square footage changed.

But more importantly, the way the homeowners use their home changed.

Maya and Karen were back out in the community this weekend, attending opening night of Hello, Dolly! at the Ogunquit Playhouse.

They enjoyed a wonderful evening, met some great people (including the father of Emma Crowe, who plays Ermengarde), and highly recommend catching the show if you’re looking for a summer night out.

Congratulations to the cast and crew on a fantastic production!

This basement has come a long way.

What was once an underutilized part of the home is now a bright, functional space designed to be enjoyed every day.

Final walkthroughs are always a special milestone. After months of planning, decisions, coordination, and construction, it's exciting to see everything come together and imagine the memories that will be made in the space moving forward.

We loved helping bring this vision to life.

You never really know what you’ll uncover during demo in an older home.

Sometimes it’s old framing techniques, hidden windows, or original flooring. And sometimes it’s moments like this: layers of wallpaper from different decades, still tucked behind the kitchen walls. The train pattern, the florals, the colors… someone once picked those out and loved them enough to put them on these walls.

It’s easy to look at a remodel and focus only on the finished product, but moments like this are a reminder that every home has a long history before we ever step onto the jobsite. Different families, different trends, different memories, all leaving their mark over time.

Now, this home gets another chapter, and we’re grateful to be part of it.

Maya and Karen had the pleasure of attending Ain’t Too Proud at the Ogunquit Playhouse last weekend, and it was such a wonderful evening. Beautiful weather, an incredible performance, and a packed house enjoying an incredible night at one of the region’s most iconic theatres.

We’re proud to support such an amazing local theatre and all that they bring to the community each season.

If you have the chance to see this production (or any of their shows), we truly can’t recommend it enough!
