💧 Major Pond Cleaning Transformation!

This one was a serious clean-out.

The pond had built up a heavy amount of algae, sludge, muck, and debris, and the waterfall had become almost completely hidden by overgrown vegetation. Our Earth Works Outdoor Builders team drained the pond, removed the muck and debris by hand in buckets, power-washed and thoroughly cleaned the entire feature, and cleared back the plant growth around the waterfall.

We also installed a new pump from Blue Thumb to get the water moving properly again.

The result? A beautiful waterfall pond brought back to life — clean, refreshed, and flowing the way it was meant to. We’re extremely happy with how this one turned out.

🚧💦 On June 24, 2026, Earth Works Outdoor Builders had a great time participating in a local Touch-a-Truck event!

Touch-a-Truck events give kids and families throughout Metro Detroit and Greater Michigan an up-close look at emergency vehicles, construction equipment, work trucks, and the people who operate them.

A special thank-you to Blue Thumb for providing the vase fountain we featured in the bed of our truck. The fountain was set up on a 2x2 basin and running with water throughout the event, giving families the opportunity to see and hear what one of these features looks like in person.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to check it out and spend some time with us. We were proud to be part of such a fun community event and grateful to Blue Thumb for helping us create a display that stood out! 💙
