Vermont Carpentry is Hiring – $25-$45hr Carpenter & Lead Carpenter
Vermont Carpentry is a growing residential construction company specializing in custom homes, renovations, insurance rebuild projects, and site development. As we continue to expand, we are looking to add one experienced Carpenter and one Lead Carpenter to our team.
The owner remains actively involved in day-to-day operations, project oversight, and field work while building a strong team capable of running projects efficiently and professionally.
Our work includes a wide range of residential construction including:
• Structural framing
• Concrete work and foundations
• Drywall and interior finishes
• Tile installation
• Kitchens and bathrooms
• Flooring and trim work
• Siding and exterior work
• Painting and finish work
• Full remodels
• New home construction
Through our excavation division Vermont Excavation & Site Work, we also perform:
• Site work for new construction
• Land clearing
• Foundation excavation
• Drainage and utility work
• Equipment operation opportunities for qualified individuals
Positions Available:
Lead Carpenter – $32–38/hr
• Minimum 7 years residential construction experience
• At least 1 year experience leading a crew or running projects
• Strong structural framing experience required
• Ability to read plans and work independently
• Capable of managing day-to-day jobsite operations
• Strong problem solving and leadership ability
• Must be capable of taking on most construction tasks with little to no supervision
• Must be able to complete projects within their skill set without constant supervision
• Ideal candidate is comfortable taking ownership of projects and seeing tasks through without constant direction
• Opportunity to grow into Foreman role ($38–45/hr)
Future Foreman Role Responsibilities:
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously under owner direction
• Coordinate workflow between projects
• Maintain job schedules and production pace
• Eligible for production bonus based on performance and project completion
Carpenter – $25–32/hr
• Minimum 5 years carpentry experience
• Experience with structural framing required
• Ability to work independently with direction
• Experience with residential construction including framing, finish work, or remodeling
• Expected to complete assigned tasks without constant supervision
• Must be dependable and production minded
