A little Saturday thrifting led me down quite the rabbit hole 🤍

During this trip, I was drawn to anything that felt like it had a story. I undercovered architectural fragments, pearlescent dishes, dough bowls made of barnacle shells, and botanical prints in a sepia tone I couldn’t get enough of. Add in a tiny Victorian portrait in a vintage frame, and oil paintings of misty landscapes…and suddenly my cart was very full.

The through-line was texture, nature, and things that feel collected rather than bought all at once. Now debating where exactly a set of carved stone column capitals would live in my home… 😂

Hi, I’m Jessica, founder and lead designer of Daly + Doyle 👋 I have spent more than 15 years in the design industry, and somewhere along the way, I realized things were starting to feel a little too trend-driven. So I built something different.

I created Daly + Doyle to put people first. I design homes that reflect real lives, real stories, and real routines. Less about design “rules,” more about spaces that actually feel like you. I also have a few non-negotiables: people always come first, design “shoulds” are meant to be broken, and I will always root for the underdog.

What makes a room iconic? We have a few opinions.

It is never about getting everything “right.” It is the mix that makes it. Something a little unexpected. A texture that softens the edges. A finish that is not perfectly perfect. Pieces that feel like you, not like everyone else. The spaces that stay with you are layered, personal, and a little bit undone in the best way. Collected over time, grounded in warmth, and designed to be lived in.
