Before contacting a residential designer, it helps to gather a few basic items:
Property address
Survey or plot plan, if available
Photos of the site or existing home
Inspiration images
Must-have spaces
Garage and storage needs
Rough budget comfort level
Timeline expectations
Known site concerns
You do not need to have everything figured out before starting the conversation.
The more organized the early information is, the easier it is to define the scope and determine whether the project is a good fit.
I added a simple Home Planning Input Form here:
An early-stage home planning input form for people thinking through a future home project before they are ready for drawings, builders, pricing, or permits.
