In 2022, a new chapter began as David Kiyak took the reins of Tanguay Pools. But David isn’t new to Tanguay Pools—he worked alongside Rick for nearly 20 years, mastering the art of designing and building the highest quality vinyl liner inground pools for New England’s climate. With a civil engineering background and decades of hands-on construction experience, David continues to uphold the standards that have made Tanguay Pools the top choice in Connecticut.

Pool Service Technician Job

We are looking to hire a trustworthy and reliable pool service technician to service and maintain our customers' swimming pools. As a pool technician, your duties will include driving to the customers' location, install, service, and repair swimming pool equipment, such as water filters, pumps, and water systems. This also includes, opening & closing pools, as well as repairing leaks, cracks, and faulty equipment including pumps and heaters.

To ensure success as a pool service technician, you should have excellent knowledge of swimming pool equipment and maintenance and interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner.

Pool Service Technician Responsibilities:

Driving the company vehicle to customer’s location.
Opening & Closing pools for the season.
Installing, servicing & repairing pool equipment including filters, pumps & heaters
Fixing cracks or leaks in pool equipment.
Fitting and repairing pipes and plumbing for spas and pools.
Completing paperwork and reporting service requirements to management.
Pool Service Technician Requirements:

High school diploma.
Previous experience as a pool technician.
Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting and equipment repairs.
Ability to lift heavy equipment.
Ability to work in harsh weather conditions.
Professional appearance.
