(ACCA) Manual T matters. A client of mine asked how the Fittes floor registers compare to the Truaire register I normally spec.

The max pressure drop across a register or grille that we usually design for is .03". A decently engineered 4X10 usually can handle up to 120 CFM (watch your throw and spread). The Fittes 4x10 already exceeds .03" at 45 CFM. In fact to get 120 CFM, you'd have to step up to a 8X14.5.

For small rooms, you may not need to significantly increase the register size . But for large rooms and open areas where throw, spread, noise and volume matter, these decisions have to be made BEFORE the HVAC is roughed in and boots installed.

now offers in- home temporary assessments. I've switched over to using this instead of the other 2 devices I had been using in order to gather the data I want. The Room Monitor gathers temperature, humidity, TVOC's Particulate Matter 2.5 and Carbon Dioxide. It only takes a couple minutes to plug in and deploy and now it works off bluetooth so you don't need the customer's wifi info any more. What do you see here that you would want to remedy and how would you propose fixing it?
