Warning. Long Read Ahead 🤣
I’ve received numerous messages from people that have purchased my files over the last couple of days.
It seems that someone has decided to start listing SVG files of Lollipops.
This person did purchase my files, listed them as kits on their page, and then on that same day posted some of their own versions of wood cut out lollipops that they were selling the cut file for.
First, I want to say that all of my files are hand drawn by me. I don’t use AI to draw for me.
I then cut each & every one.
I make adjustments & redraw, recut, that way I know, you, as a purchaser have the best version of what I’m creating.
I’m new to the design world & fairly sure that’s why this happened.
Because I’m the little fish in a huge pond of designers with 10’s of 1000’s of followers.
I’ve always been more of a finished product girl.
That is where my lollipops originated. I looked on Etsy & everywhere else for a lollipop svg I could cut, for a Halloween sign.
There weren’t any.
Not a single one on the internet, anywhere.
I knew what I wanted so, I drew it.
A couple of my close friends who also make finished items wanted them, and they pushed me to list them on Etsy.
In June I drew my lollipops.
They were listed August 22nd.
As of that day, there were still, no other files like mine.
Then, September 3rd a purchase of my files, resulted in someone making their own version.
The messages from my customers wanted me to file a copyright infringement, post on their social media, or report their listings to Etsy. I’ve chosen not to do that.
I’m going to just keep drawing, and know that I’m the original designer. that’s good enough for me, for now.
Hopefully I can grow my design following and my cut files will speak for themselves. I’m not the extravagant designer. I try to keep things simple. I hope anyone that has purchased them absolutely loves them♥️ stay tuned for more 😉
