I had a very special guest baker help make some caramel cakes today! Always fun to show my daughters the business that their grandmother started and built. There is so much family history at and I love passing on the traditions that I grew up with and sharing the amazing stories of their grandmother and her cake community!

A few of you have asked, so we want to be clear. Our cake recipe ingredients do not include nuts. Our ice cream, though, is made by a partner creamery in a facility that also processes nuts—and while it arrives to us completely sealed, that means it may carry a risk of trace cross-contact with nuts.

We want you to enjoy our cakes the way you always have. And we’d always rather you have the full picture than not, so you and your family can make the choice that’s best for you. If you or a loved one has an allergy, please weigh this carefully—and reach out anytime with questions about a specific ingredient. We’re always just a call or email away.

It means the world that the cakes Caroline first served at her youngest son’s christening in 1982 — the ones Oprah has named a Favorite Thing four times (2011, 2017, 2020, 2022) — now live on in scoops. Scoop, scoop, hooray! Today is the day, and we are thrilled to introduce the Caroline's Cakes line of ice cream. This has been a passion project for quite some time, and I'm so excited for you all to try it.
Many thanks to Two Scoops Creamery for their partnership in bringing this idea to life and helping capture all the wonderful flavor of our cakes in each and every pint. We've always been known for our slices — now we're adding our scoops to your dessert traditions.

What a joy it's been to cheer on Stephen Colbert and the entire team at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert over the years. They welcomed Caroline's Cakes into their world with such warmth and became some of our most beloved fans — and getting to sit in the audience for a live show on a trip to NYC is a memory we'll hold onto for a long time.
Stephen, congratulations on an extraordinary run. Thank you for the laughter, the kindness, and for always making room at the table for a little Southern sweetness. We're cheering you on for whatever comes next.
