Maybe not an exciting picture for you but, these were planted in November 2018 and I had some beautiful tulips in 2019. 2020 nothing, absolutely nothing came up. (Seems fitting) I figured over 1000 bulbs were done. Walking around the garden this weekend, making plans, to do lists and dreaming, I found these. It was an encouragement to me from the Lord to keep going, keep dreaming, keep planning. I am anticipating beautiful tulips to pair up with apple blossoms for a May day or Mother's Day bouquet. Maybe you would like one too!

For North American flower lovers and growers, Valentine’s Day comes at the worst possible time of year. On this flower-focused holiday, the U.S. is at its coldest, and much of the country is still under a blanket of snow. Apart from greenhouse-grown tulips and p***y willows, there are limited options for fresh, local flowers. As a result, many gift givers turn to long-stemmed South American roses which come with a huge environmental cost. To inspire your Valentine's Day gift giving this year we’ve put together a wonderful gift guide (https://www.floretflowers.com/beyond-red-roses-valentines-day/) that supports the shift to local blooms. With a little creativity and flexibility, it is possible to give local, seasonal blooms—even in February. I hope you enjoy it!
