In a typical scenario, I would remove loose plaster and install drywall when encountering failing plaster. However, this instance proved to be an exception. The base coat and keys remained securely in place, necessitating a veneer finish repair. Although some minor touch-ups are required prior to priming and paint matching, both the customer and I are pleased with the outcome. This marks a promising start to the restoration of a substantial water-damaged ceiling.
