βThe bonus of having a less than pristine lawn is wildflowers pop up everywhere.
When I go outside to feed the birds or get the mail or work in the yard, I end up taking photos of small clumps of Common Bluets scattered in the yard and by the driveway.
This early wildflower is native to most of eastern North America and adds beautiful bright pops of color to fields and open woods.
Common Bluets produce both nectar and pollen, a vital source of food for native bees and smaller species of early butterflies.β π¦
