What makes renting in a Shared Use Kitchen different than just sub-leasing from another small business. We are here FOR you not with, without or despite you.
Over the years, Busy Bee rented and sub leased from several other well meaning businesses. But running a business is very all consuming, and they were running their business. That was their priority. We just fit ourselves in wherever we could.
Here are some things we ran into vs. how things are in The Busy Bee Shared Use Kitchen:
🐭 One business was part if a strip center and had no control over pest control in the building One day, we found live mouse traps with mice running around in them under the shelf we kept our supplies in. Here: we have pest prevention treatments every quarter at a minimum.
💥 At another location, the gas was shut off when we arrived so no oven or range use for a day. Here: All utilities maintained and included in our rental rates!
🎉 We had a few Mondays where the space we rented was not cleaned up after an event the weekend prior and our team spent an hour cleaning before we could start cooking. At Busy Bee every business follows clean up procedures that ensure they leave it as they found it!
⛈️ Power outages and lost product. Ugh, that was probably the worst. We safeguard against this two ways: we monitor all coolers electronically AND we have a back up generator so we never lose power.
📝 Missing or ‘borrowed’ supplies. IOU’s. Not here. All coolers and storage shelves and clearly labeled. Your supplies, equipment and products are safe. And we have the 24 hour cameras in the kitchen to back that up!
