As always people they claim to care about Palestinians use the name of the Palestinian People to cause disruption create havoc and minimize the real life suffering of millions of Palestinians

They could organize a teach in, reach out to regular semetic people - both Palestinians and Israelis are semetic -and organize drives for medicine, food, clothing
Planning for new Palestinian cities in a new state! Because ultimately Palestinians deserve their own country. Their own land Their own future These so called friends of the Palestinian cause, some may be Palestinian themselves, are doing nothing to help the Palestinians

The Arab armies during the Israeli War of independence told the Palestinians " Why don't you holiday in the Gaza Strip, Jordan, The West Bank for a spell and we will destroy the slightly better organized, and supplied and more motivated unified Israeli army How did that work out for Palestine, for the Palestinian people? Well that fortnite campout in the desert has been going in for three quarters of a century with no end in site, and these 77 yo " refuge camps" are not really camps at all IRL But the Arab Muslim dictators can tell their "citizens " " look that sad sad land that is Palestine is even worse off than U are, so stop.your whining! and look we care about our " Arab Brothers (an Oxymoron if ever there was one
Pan Arabism was dead before it ever started! The Arab World, Iran, Pakistan, Indonesia,vMalaysia, Michigan are simply not going to help. These places are too racked by corruption, poverty and Imperial nothingness to be bothered by " those people"
Do you really think Saudi Arabia wants to see a new self -realized state in it's sphere of influence? Iran? The UAE? Egypt?
The United States? The number two and number one recipients of The US' s military aid largesse -in other words our tax dollars -are the two countries that from a purely geographical perspective have the most control over the situation. Egypt, Israel and the United States of America all have the power, influence and gravitis to make something happen but another 77 years of temporary campouts in the desert will do nothing for the Palestinians, Egyptians and Israelis but that's not something you put on a poster now is it?

We've been waiting for 36 years or at least the Palestinians have been Just like the protesters who undoubtedly disrupted the lives of many people, definitely some who are Muslim or Christian or even Jewish Arab or Asian students, workers, travelers
And they have certainly turned off some people to the Palestinian cause. But, the protesters obviously cannot be bothered by pesky little facts , such as reality. The one thing that Palestinians have been very rich in : Luck! No one has more luck than the Palestinians. Unfortunately for our long suffering brothers , and sisters the Palestinians lack love of the good variety. But bad luck? Rich rich , very rich!

The Various resistance groups that emerged in Israel and Palestine worked different angles, some provided the social service functions that the state did not. Unfortunately, that only got the Palestinians so far. There were still Millions of them on the endless camping trips, and the resistance groups engaged in terrorism. They certainly got the World's attention as killing innocent young people often does. But is it the attention that the Palestinians needed? History says no! For every friend these heinous acts may have gained, millions of people learned a new word: Palestinian. And they associated it with one word, one word only: Terrorism
Hunger, discrimination, poverty, statelessness. No Terrorism So in the 1970's and beyond if there was even a sliver of hope, for progress on justice for the Palestinians: Statehood, economic development, education, peace tranquility it's not going to happen through the actions of "progressive" " woke" "enlightened" Seattleized
During the Oslo accords there was hope. There was hope, but due to all the luck -the bad variety- the Leaders for the Palestinians for whatever reason just couldn't get it done That is ancient history now. What did or did not occur 27 yrs ago is not going to move forward justice.
Certainly a bunch of spoiled loudmouth Seattlites disrupting a Starbucks Reserve on Capital Hill will do nothing but make even more people hate Palestinians
I am not a diplomat, not a political scientist. I'm just a Jew from Brooklyn who simply is sickened by injustice. Disgusted that a criminal and war criminal could use his political instincts to stay in power ,to keep himself out of prison, and destroy all that is great about Judaism. Our religion COMMANDS us to love and care for our Palestinian neighbors, but Netanyahu never met an Arab he wasn't willing to kill. The Israeli Prime Minister is intent on destroying the Israeli justice system what's left of it

The world needs to fix the World's problems. As always the United States, the wealthiest most country must play a roll. Due to it's less than stellar rep with many Palestinians today, we may need to be a little behind thevscenes But we need to be there. This is a singular moment in time. The horrendous acts by Hamas which as intended caused a strong, brutal response by the Israeli government, therefore the IDF, was just what Hamas wanted.
Don't sound surprised that Hamas hides mortars in hospitals and schools We have all know this for decades Are we perceived as being so stupid to believe that Hamas's extensive tunnel system, along of course wth torture chambers is something new ?
Israel knew The US knew, the world knew. Destroying the tunnels and the terrorists is a laudable goal.
Having a stable prosperous Palestinian State could also guarantee the tunnels and terrorists never return.
