If you’ve ever been to Wheeler Gardens, you’ve seen the beautiful flowers, thriving plants, and welcoming atmosphere—but what you may not see is the countless early mornings, late nights, and decades of hard work behind it all.

Mark Wheeler started Wheeler Gardens out of the back of his pickup truck in 1987 with nothing but a dream, determination, and an incredible work ethic. Nearly 40 years later, he still works tirelessly every single day, growing the majority of what Wheeler Gardens sells by hand with the same passion he started with.

Seeing him featured in 417 Magazine is such a well-deserved honor. His story is one of perseverance, faith, humility, and dedication. From supplying beautiful mums to places like Silver Dollar City and Big Cedar Lodge to building a business that has become a Springfield tradition, he has created something truly special.

His commitment to quality, his love for growing, and his dedication to serving the community are inspiring. Wheeler Gardens is more than a garden center—it’s a legacy built with hard work, passion, and heart.
