Part of our gardening together time yesterday was mulching the pollinator garden we cleared of bindweed and replanted last Saturday. Some rain would really help, but as it is, we've been watering every day. We'll hold more pop up pollinator potting up parties in the coming weeks!

We'll be in the garden from 9-11 this morning, working on mulching our pollinator garden, and weeding our come and pick beds, as well as our communal garden. Tomato care is also on our task list. Bring a water bottle, and join us for some light exercise, fresh air, and good company!

Our Free Farmers Markets begin this Saturday! Join us at our market tents, on site at 1022 N. 5th. Gate opens at 10 a.m.

This week we expect to be able to offer: turnips, beets, collards, kale, chard, peas, onions, and herbs like cilantro (so much cilantro!!!), oregano, marjoram, mint, and sage. We're averaging about 40 pounds per harvest this week, so we don't have huge amounts, but definitely enough to share with our community!

And reminder, our come and pick garden—2 plots out in front of the gate—is open 24/7. There are so many collard greens and onions out there now, ready to be harvested by YOU!

While we had big plans to offer flowers as part of our market, we are sad to say we don't really have any cut flowers available yet. Maybe later this summer!

Join us this morning from 9-11 at the garden for our Pop Up Pollinator Potting Up Party! We've been planting native pollinators from seed, which are in various states of readiness. Anyone who helps can take home native pollinators!

Good morning! We are in the garden this morning 9-11. The plan is to harvest for volunteers with the surplus going to Kumler's Food Pantry, as well as to mulch our newly planted prairie pollinator garden. We'll also be spiffying up our garden for the big event this weekend!

Many thanks to the 58 visitors and volunteers who came out to the garden this morning! We got so much done, and were thrilled to share the trays of donated seedlings, as well as our berries with everyone!

Thank you to Emily LeVault for the lovely yoga class! We appreciated everyone who came out for the "mob job" of clearing out our pollinator patches. We were able to get everything weeded and watered, including planting a new patch.

I forgot to get pictures, but we also planted American wisteria and white clematis on our trellis. It might take a while, but it's going to be beautiful!
