Full home remodel we did over the winter here in Jerome, on the side. First 9 pics or so are before.
I have loved this little stucco house since moving here in 2019. When we started looking for a place to renovate last fall, it was miraculously available and a perfect fit for my parents' plan to downsize and move. I am thrilled that my parents now call it home and they are one minute from me. Teresa Schuyler you, your helpful brother and your lovely cottage were and still are a godsend.
New floors, gutted and remodeled kitchen and baths, new toilets, vanities and shower, house jacked up on one end, door closed off to kitchen from small bath, new appliances & water heater, new lighting, paint and trim everywhere, new k***s & hardware, closets restyled, laundry moved into big bathroom off kitchen, exterior painted, walk re-mortared, front steps poured, and garage resheeted and resided. Two enormous trees removed to let in some sun and diminish mosquitoes. Projects this summer will include work on the front stoop, deck and fence.
Thanks to our neighbors Joe & Penny Cannella for all the help along the way, Holly for bringing a fb marketplace vanity from Missouri for me, Maddix for bringing furniture from Decatur, Beatrice for bringing my grandson to see me at the house since we virtually never left lol, Karl Piepenburg for feeding Zuzu several times as she waited for us to get home, countless friends and family for the encouragement and support and Brian Moore for his work getting us closed FAST and bringing us food. Many of those same friends also showed up to support my parents at their sales in Chandlerville, bringing donuts, shopping, and then bringing goodies to the new house too (Chuck & Janet, Mark & Leigh, Judith Ann & Jeff, Gwendolyn Sue, Joe & Penny and others I apologize for forgetting).
Finally, Shawn Stillman thank you for all your backbreaking labor and trusting my crazy plans (again). We both left blood, sweat and tears in this place (literally) and in every trip to Cville to bring them here; it was so worth it for my parents to be closer and safer, in a much easier home to maintain, and so much easier for everyone in the family to visit!
I will have more outside pictures this summer of the outdoor projects, and as mom's flowers and dad's veggie garden emerge. ๐ก๐ธ๐ป๐น๐ฅ๐
