Today we’re putting shovels in the ground for Phase One of Elevate Heights! We are incredibly proud to partner with Elevate Lives on this transformative affordable housing development in North Springfield. This first 21-unit building will offer much more than just a roof, it provides 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartments paired with on-site coaching and mentorship to help local families achieve long-term financial independence.

As Elevate Lives CEO Russ Gosselin shared today, "We’re building stronger individuals, stronger families, and a stronger community." A huge congratulations to the team on today's $3 million presentation from the Federal Home Loan Bank to help fund the construction!

Meet Piper Duncan, the newest Student Intern at Hood-Rich Architecture!

Originally from Poplar Bluff, MO, Piper is bringing double the talent to our studio, currently pursuing both her Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Graphic Design at Drury University.

She believes great design is all about practical spaces and precise details. And she’s already proving it! In just a few short weeks, Piper has jumped right in and made an immediate impact helping us author a comprehensive master plan study.

Between her impressive work here and her leadership roles with AIAS and Tau Sigma Delta, we couldn't be more excited to see what she does next.

After an incredible journey in architecture and design, our very own Pat Pierce is officially retiring this month. This week, the Hood-Rich team gathered to celebrate Pat’s legacy, her professional achievements, and the profound impact she has had on our firm as a Registered Architect.
Pat has been a cornerstone of our office culture, serving as a constant model of kindness and a “can-do” spirit. Whether navigating a complex project or mentoring team members, she approached every challenge with a grace and expertise that inspired us all. Beyond the studio, we are especially grateful to Pat and her husband, Joe, for their years of hospitality in hosting our annual Lake Day, a tradition that truly reflects her generous heart.
Pat, you will be missed tremendously. We are so grateful for your years of dedication to Hood-Rich Architecture and the community. While we will miss your presence in the office, we are thrilled for you to begin this next chapter. Please join us in wishing Pat a very happy and well-deserved retirement!
