There is currently a large smoke column coming from the US Forest Service fires east of Lowell area. Today is the first day of clear visibility and with the pressure changes making the fire more active. These fires are part of the Middle Fork Complex of fires on Forest Service lands.
Here is a picture as seen from the Springfield ODF office.
