When you run a plant business out of a beautiful corner, you have to be strategic. 🌿

You need tiny plants and statement plants. Easy-care plants and collector plants. Succulents, tropicals, cacti, cuttings, terrariums, pet-safe options, and seasonal favorites. Some friends stay awhile, while others come and go with the seasons. That’s part of what makes it so much fun.

One of my favorite parts? I basically shop my own jungle at home. As plants sell, I refill the space. Sometimes with something similar. Sometimes with something completely different. It keeps The Grow Table interesting, and always evolving.

This week’s refresh includes:
🌵 Haworthia clusters
🌿 Golden pothos cutting in recycled glass with sand dollar pieces from my sweet friend Amy
🫙 A terrarium featuring an oil slick fern and Rex begonia
✂️ Fresh cuttings
🤍 Epi Albo that’s growing beautifully
🌱 Baby Birkin Philodendron
🖤 African Mask (Polly) Alocasia
🐍 Fabi Snake Plant with a pup
💚 Variegated Shark Fin
🌵 Mixed cactus planted in gritty soil
⭐ A perfect little Thai Constellation Monstera — only $12!

And probably a few surprise friends from my home jungle, too. 😉

Plants bring more than greenery into a space. They bring life, intention, growth, culture, and a reminder to slow down long enough to appreciate something beautiful.

Tiny leaves. Tiny roots. 🪴✨ SO CUTE!!!

Freshening up the Peperomia shelf today and bringing in:
🌿 Caperta Red Ripple
🌿 Piccolo Banda
🌿 Watermelon Peperomia
🌿 Rosso
🌿 Napoli Nights
🌿 Quito Lime

Plus a tray of teeny-tiny propagated babies in humidity domes for just $3.33!

Also hitting the shelves:

💚 Neon Pothos
💚 Lemon Lime Philodendron
💚 Silver Stripe
💚 Marble Queen

Who went to in and saw this variegated Philodendron spiritus-sancti casually sitting there for… oh, you know… $20,000? 🤯🌿

That plant costs more than my current car. 😂

I need to make it to PlantCon next year. I may completely lose my composure and turn into a five-year-old on Christmas morning. Rare plants, vendors, collectors, and thousands of plant people all in one place?

Honestly, it sounds a little like heaven. 💚🪴✨

Life lessons… Lenny doesn’t mourn his old shed.

When the time comes, he rubs against a branch, peels away what no longer fits, and keeps growing.

Plants understand this too.

A philodendron doesn’t grieve when a cataphyll dries and falls away. A hoya doesn’t cling to yesterday’s bloom. Old leaves yellow. Growth points activate. New roots form. Energy is redirected. Life continues.

Nature doesn’t see these things as loss.

It sees them as growth.

Sometimes we hold onto old versions of ourselves long after we’ve outgrown them. Old fears. Old relationships. Old stories. Old expectations. We mourn what falls away because we mistake change for loss.

But what if those falling pieces were never the point?

The cataphyll’s job was to protect the new leaf until it was ready.
The flower’s job was to bloom, then fade.
The old leaf’s job was to gather energy while it could.

Their purpose wasn’t to stay forever.

Maybe ours isn’t either.

There is wisdom in watching Lenny shed his skin.
There is wisdom in watching a plant release what it no longer needs.

Neither stops growing because something ended.

They simply make room for what comes next. 💚✨

Dexter says … WHY KEEP PLANTS? 🌿

The average American spends about 90% of their time indoors.

Research has shown that exposure to plants and natural environments can help reduce stress, improve mood, and support overall well-being.

In one survey, 66% of Americans reported that having plants in their home makes them feel more relaxed and comfortable.

Many people incorporate houseplants into their daily lives as a way to create calm, bring nature indoors, and add beauty to the spaces where they spend the most time.

🌱 A plant may start as décor, but often becomes a daily reminder to slow down, notice growth, and care for something living.

🌵 Tiny desert guardians are headed to The Grow Table!

Each cactus has been planted by hand in terra cotta with my chunky custom blend of potting soil, perlite, and lava rock for excellent drainage.

Meet a few of the crew:
🌵 Golden Barrel
🌵 Fishhook Barrel
🌵 Pincushion Cactus
🌵 Hedgehog Cactus
🌵 Silver Torch
🌵 Ball Cactus

The best part? Every single one has a name. 💚

These little survivors are native to the Americas and are symbols of resilience, endurance, protection, and healthy boundaries. They thrive in bright light, forgive a missed watering, and ask for very little while giving a lot of personality.

❤️🌿 6” Gorgeous Red Marantas Have Hit the Floor! 🌿❤️

These are one of my favorite plants to show people because they remind us that plants aren’t just decorations—they’re living, moving organisms. ✨

Known as the Prayer Plant, Marantas raise and lower their leaves throughout the day and fold them upward at night like tiny hands in prayer. 🙏💚 If you’ve never seen it happen, check out these incredible time-lapse videos:

🌿 Golden Flame Snake Plants have slithered into Juice EJ! 🌿

Only 3 left in 6” pots and they’re gorgeous. If you’ve been wanting a unique snake plant with bright golden variegation, don’t wait on these friends.

After Music on Main was canceled, the evening turned into plant prep mode. I spent hours cutting wick cord, threading it into 75 self-watering domed planters getting ready for 50 new 2” terrarium plants arriving soon. 🌱 These little details matter because shipped plants often get jostled around, and many need immediate attention and repotting when they arrive.

Now it’s an early start for a business meeting before the shop opens, but we’re ready! We have juice packed in the fridge and love packed in our hearts. ☀️💚
