The most common question that I have received as a bathroom remodeling contractor:
Why should I choose stone over regular ceramic tile?
There is nothing wrong with tile. It has been around for thousands of years and, if installed properly, will last a very long time. The problem with any tile job though, is grout! Who loves to clean and seal grout? (Crickets…..) No one likes to do that! We have seen hundreds of failed grout lead to unimaginable water damage to your walls, floors, and ceilings below. Our systems are different. They cost about the same or less, as a custom tile job, but ZERO maintenance. When we install our natural stone or cultured shower and bath walls, they are already waterproof, with no need to ever seal! For this reason alone, we stopped doing new tile work and have recommended the above products. Our top of the line product has a factory 20 year sealant!
