F R E E
For the last nearly month the boys have been home. They ate all the food, stayed up late, slept in, played hours of video games on days we needed to work, took a road trip to Florida, grew out of the pants and shoes we bought in September, made forts, and art out of cardboard, wore pjs for a few days straight and honestly got to take a deep breath. They missed the bus this morning and I’m dreading virtual learning on Fridays again, but I hope they they look back at this time and simply remember being loved.

C H A N G E
This room was suppose to be our first project we when we moved in. We put it on hold because we almost did major construction to this part of the house. I’m so glad it worked out like this. Grey is older now and has a big say in the process. I can tell that it means a lot to him, that I value his ideas and vision.

D R E S S
For the life you want, and that life is warm ! Day 4 of walking 3 miles over lunch. It’s a brisk walk to downtown Kirkwood and back but I got to say I’ve got all the attire even if it’s raining and I feel so grounded and amazing when I get home. Hope your Monday is treating you well ♥️

P R O J E C T S
In January we always map out what we want to update for the year. I’ve definitely made some different decisions actually living here, but if I could do it again I would have done the bulk of the projects before living here. The process becomes slower when you have kids and are actively living in the space. This comes with more upfront costs but we bought this house well within our means knowing the amount we’d be investing on updates. Later today I’m going to hop over to stories to walk through the spaces we have left to work on and what we plan to tackle this year. Thanks for being here!

This time last year I said to Kyle if I could work from home I’d have it all and by all I didn’t mean teaching my kids and working lol, but we did it. My goal for 2021 is to find the fun in the day to day. Here’s to being enough and doing enough! Cheers friends 🥂

Barely got these babies out of the box before falling in love. Took a risk and went with Sage, and it’s giving me the exact tonal look I was going for in the kitchen. I may even leave them out since we are eating at home so much these days.

Vacation, holidays, still in a pandemic, 2020 mood. For the first time in my life I unpacked everything from the trip when we got home last night. However I was too tired to put it all away. Double tap it if you can relate.

Fell in love with this building in Alys Beach, been reading all about the town since 🤓. Logged a lot of steps, supported countless restaurants who offered curbside pick up and leaving hopeful for whatever 2021 puts in our path.
