For all of you that only think there's cedar, treated wood or the fake plastic wood. Here's food for thought, just washed this 10+ year old tiger wood deck, looks like new and had never been sealed or oiled! 20+year life expectancy of you don't maintain it. There's also ipe, which has a 30+ years expectancy of you don't maintain it. Real wood, much tougher than faux wood or cedar, and absolutely beautiful.

First cedar house of the year, washing is slow on wood this dry so you don't do additional damage. Sun baked out the natural oils, if you let this happen too long then the soft wood between the grain washed out and leaves you with grainy wood.

Finished our first job today, just a vinyl sided house we washed yesterday and today went back to seal the back patio with a natural concrete sealer. We don't seal concrete often because it is so simple for the home owner to do on their own after we wash. Food for thought for you people with nice concrete that want to keep it looking nice. A basic concrete sealer can keep water from penetrating and then freezing causing minute damage in the beginning, but leading to larger pits later on.

Last years "Good Friday" tornado put a damper on the entire year, and our first year trying out the social media. So here's to a brand new year filled with nothing but good wishes, happy customers, and zero natural or unnatural disasters!

The start of a new year, new customers, returning friends, and many happy trees that won't have to be cut down to replace old untreated structures!

What a year so far. First the rains of March and April ending with the "Good Friday" tornado displacing us for 3 months, and right into the 5th hottest summer on record. Here it is the end of the season, and somewhat busy, than God. So here's to a good end of the season and a much more prosperous 2012 for all, God willing.

Our recent tornado may have knocked us down, and put us a bit behind schedule, but we are getting back up, picking up the pieces and getting back to work.
