In case you’re wondering: yes, I did pet the bee. He just kept doing his thing on the flower and acted like nothing happened.

It was a good morning wandering around Missouri Botanical Garden with the family. The kiddos ALMOST fell asleep with me carrying them.

Who doesn’t love a begonia? They do well in shade, sunny spots, in a pot, in the ground (in most areas) and are easy to overwinter to keep going next year. The more sun they get the more flowers they’ll treat you to!

The picture with the purple chair is the current situation. The picture with the flower stem coming from the middle of the snake plant was a couple years ago. I put this plant into SHOCK by splitting it up, and reporting too soon, and moving all at once. It’s been static in regards to growth for the past TWO YEARS!!! I’m thankful it’s a resilient little guy, but geez, I’m ready for him to fill back in and grow again!! If he doesn’t do anything by the end of the year, I may cut my losses, propagate, and start fresh!

Double daffodil!? 🌼 I didn’t even know this was a thing until we were out on an evening stroll after I got off work this evening. Just like a normal daffodil except explosively busy flower! Early blooms that don’t last more than a few weeks, but are always such a delight to see in landscaping. These flowers always make me think of Easter for some reason.

My family called them jonquils, and I was very confused when I first heard someone call them daffodils 😂😂

What do you call them?

I love how alien-like the flowers are on red maple trees. What I don’t like is the amount of snot that comes out my face because of it!
