Shaker Mountain Trees We are a family run Christmas tree farm located in Starksboro Vermont. We plant locally harvested spruce and fir and use no herbicides or pesticides.

Hi we will be open all day saturday only for this year. We do have some nice trees. Dec 7 2019 8;30 to 4;00. I know it is short notice and I know I have done nothing to maintain this page but we have worked hard getting trees in the ground and hopefully will continue to sell trees on a Year by year basis.

Hi everyone - Nirmegh was out in the trees the other day and upon further reflection we have decided not to open this year because if we did there would be nothing next year and possibly the year after. We apologize for the change in plans. In order to get us back up to our regular capacity we hope to plant 500 trees in the spring. We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season, that you are able to find a tree, and that you'll return to us when we are able to be open again.

Hi everyone - We will be open one day this year - Saturday December 1st from 8-4. We are still recovering from the couple of years of no new trees being planted. We also lost many of the trees planted this year owing to the drought. We hope to see on you on December 1st. Please spread the word. Thanks. Nirmegh & Pete

We are getting close to the tree season and are looking forward to seeing you all again this year. I will be meeting with Nirmegh this week to find out how many days and what dates we'll be open this year - stay tuned. Pete

Thanks to everyone who came out to support us this weekend. We are now sold out for the season. But the good news is that by next fall, we will have a lot more trees ready to go thanks to a steady three years of planting. Happy Holidays everyone and see you next year. Nirmegh and Pete

UPDATE: Nirmegh has done a reassessment of available trees and as a result we will now only be open one weekend, this weekend, December 2/3. We want to ensure that there will be sufficient trees available next year too. We continue to plant up to 400 trees a year and we think that within a year or two we'll be back up to where we can resume our usual three weekend schedule. In the meantime, come early this weekend only to find your perfect tree and enjoy some time around the fire with cider, hot dogs, and marshmallows. Our hours will be 9 until dark. Nirmegh and Pete.

Hello everyone. We hope you have had a good year so far. Hard to believe it is almost Christmas tree season again. This year we will only be open two weekends for sales: December 2/3 and 9/10. We are in gap year (we didn't plant trees a couple years ago when Nirmegh thought he was retiring) so our supply is more limited. Come early to find your perfect tree. Our hours will be 9 until dark.
