Noticing a burning smell when you turn on your heater for the first time in months can be concerning, but it is often caused by something simple. We asked our experts what is really happening.

“That burning smell is usually dust that collected on heating components while the system was not in use. When the heater turns on, the dust burns away and the odor should disappear fairly quickly. If the smell continues or resembles burning plastic or electrical wiring, turn off the system and have it inspected. If you see smoke, leave the home and contact emergency services. If you smell rotten eggs or suspect a gas leak, leave immediately and call your gas utility or emergency services from a safe location.”

Well, there you have it. A brief smell may simply mean your heater is waking up for the season. But if the odor sticks around or smells unusual, do not brush it off. Let our experts make sure everything is operating safely by scheduling a heating system inspection today.

How long your HVAC system lasts is not just about its age. Regular maintenance and how hard the system has to work over time can make a difference, too.

Taking a proactive approach can help reduce unnecessary wear, support reliable performance, and help you get more life out of your system.

We put together a homeowner guide with practical ways to help keep your HVAC system running strong for the long haul.

Warm air coming from your AC is one of the clearest signs that something isn't working the way it should.
While some causes are simple and others require professional repair, it's a problem that's worth addressing sooner rather than later.

We asked one of our expert technicians what they see most often:
"When your AC is on but still blowing warm air, there's usually a reason behind it, and it's something we deal with a lot. It could be low refrigerant, a dirty evaporator coil, or even a clogged filter cutting off airflow. In some cases, it's a failed part like a capacitor or contactor, which we often catch during routine maintenance. Either way, it's worth having us take a look before it gets worse or puts additional strain on the system."

If your AC isn't keeping your home comfortable, our team is here to help diagnose the issue and get your system back to cooling the way it should.

Routine maintenance keeps your building running smoothly.

During this visit, our team replaced the air filters and completed a scheduled maintenance check on this rooftop unit. These routine visits help keep the system running efficiently, support better indoor comfort, and give technicians the chance to catch small issues before they become bigger ones.

It's the kind of work that often goes unnoticed, but it makes a difference every day.

Late August weather can be unpredictable. Cool mornings often turn into warm afternoons, making it hard to know exactly how to set your thermostat before heading to work.

If you've got a furry friend waiting at home, keeping them comfortable is always top of mind. A smart thermostat lets you adjust your home's temperature right from your phone, so if the day heats up more than expected, you can make sure they're staying cool and comfortable until you get home. 🐾

Because peace of mind isn't just knowing your home is comfortable. It's knowing your best friend is, too. ❤️

AC drain line clogs don't happen overnight.
Dust, dirt, pet dander, and moisture slowly build up inside the drain line over time. Eventually, that buildup can block condensation from draining properly, causing water to back up into your home. In some cases, it can even trigger a safety switch that shuts your air conditioner off completely.
Our latest blog explains what causes AC drain line clogs, the warning signs to look for, and what you can do to help prevent them before they turn into a costly repair.
