Effective May 8, 2025, Capparelli Plumbing & Heating, Inc. will no longer be accepting credit cards for payment. Cash or check only for services rendered. I am done paying the monthly subscriptions and fees on invoices charged to my checking account! When I told clients, during the last year that I had to add 3% to the invoice total, they did not want to use credit cards for payment.

This is truck #20. My ‘08 GMC Sierra. I traded in the ‘97 step side and my ‘99 Silverado for this truck. I bought it at Rider Auto from Chuck Rider. It had satellite radio and some giddy up and go. It was a great truck until I found out it was burning oil. A few people thought my flag on the front fenders meant I was a New England Patriot fan! I always told them “NO FREAKIN’ WAY!”

Good morning on this throwback Thursday! Here is another truck that was in the fleet. I sold my ‘97 van and bought this awesome rig! It was a 2005 Chevy Kodiak. I decided I was done with vans. This truck was built for work. It got rear ended by a Peterbilt triaxle in front of Rockview at the railroad tracks!

From picture 1 to picture 2! New Rheem water heaters connected to a geothermal system that now each heater can be serviced or replaced without moving one to get to the other!

Today’s TBT is from 1979! My Dad actually ordered this van from Dunlap Ford in Bellefonte. It was an E-350 with no extra options. This thing in the summer would cook you from the inside out! This truck actually caught fire under the South Allen Street office building. My dad left his bifocals on the passenger seat and that is how the fire started. When I got home from school that day, my mom told me about what happened. The next thing you know, here comes dad in this truck without a windshield and white powder everywhere. No seat, half a dash, no headliner! It was my job to empty it out, scrub it down, put everything back in it that night. The windshield was replaced the next day and he was back to work!

TBT….. My dad purchased this truck in the fall of 1976 from Miller-McVeigh Ford. It was a left over model since the 77’s came out. It was. 1976 F-100, 6 cylinder, 3 on the tree. I inherited this truck in 10th grade and made it into the picture on the right. A lot of good times in this ride.
