Tonight is First Friday Art Walk and opening night for a new show: Views from the West by the very talented artist Emily Knight of

Stop in from 5-8pm: 111 8th ST (Bright blue door on 8th between Lincoln & Oak).

Show Description: A series of landscape oil paintings that explore the relationship between land and sky as it holds space for the human experience; dreams, memories - between who we were, are and will be.

Views from the West will be showing March-May First Fridays as well.

Artist Info: Emily Knight is an artist and educator based in Golden, Colorado. As an art teacher, she makes space for student artists to develop their own artistic voice through exploration of materials, themes and personal experiences. In her own work, she develops landscape themes that embody the energy of her experiences traveling in the southwest and how time and place can be held in memories. Her paintings are visual representations of the beauty and hardship that is being human - how a vast horizon and a bending river can be a meditation on life and the art of living it.
