My job is done, my business is finished (for now) and I wouldn’t have wanted any other shotgun rider to have gotten through this last day with.. most of you have met or know Tater.

Tater is my ❤️ dog. He’s been with me since year two of my business and he is the bestest boy ever. Raising him from a puppy was a privilege, as he taught me so much even though I was training him. He’s so patient and so loveable.

There’s also not another client I would have loved more than to be my last stop of the day, Leona Kassoff and family, are the best you’ll ever meet. Id like to say that we’ve become close friends over the years. And I wouldn’t have wanted to end my last day as a business owner with anyone else, the love and hugs are unmatched (besides my own mother).

Farewell to all my wonderful clients, I hope everyone has a beautiful Thanksgiving! Maybe we will see eachother again!

Wednesday will be my last day as the owner and operator of OWR. Turns out it’s hard to remodel homes while… PREGNANT.
I’ve been truly blessed these last years with wonderful clients, most who have become good friends over the years. It will be sad to go, but I can rest easy knowing my business was successful, And could have endured, if I was able to find good, and reliable employees. Never the less, I’m looking forward to the slow down and the new job at Top Tile in Latham! Come down and see me for all your tile and waterproofing system needs!

Be kind to your contractors, it’s a hot and humid one today. If they take a lot of breaks, leave early or don’t show at all today, it’s not you, it’s them wanting to NOT die of heat stroke!

If you haven’t heard of Schluter Kerdi yet, you need to! This is a great brand/product. Going to these workshops was a great learning experience, and I am so glad that I went and was able to gain all the knowledge I did on how to install this better, and to learn of all the different products that they have. Your bathroom can be 100% custom!

Employee of the month: September!
Meet “Beef”. Beef and I only “worked”(cuddled is more like it) together for a few days, but he was the best assistant anyone could ask for. He knew when to comfort me when I was frustrated by his old house, but also knew when it was time to get back to work! The Goodest boy Beef!
100% would recommend for cuddles.

Employee of the month: August!

Meet Stanley! Stanley and I only worked together for 6 weeks, but it was the best six weeks of my life! I welcomed him with open arms every single day. He is a loyal and hard worker when butt scratches are the reward for being adorable!

This is what happens when you ignore directions.

These were rags, in a paper bag, soaked in stain. This was a stain I’ve used before, had been warned by the store I bought it from about its capabilities to SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUST. There was a warning label on the top of the can, that’s I’ve read before but have never had this happen.

Luckily no one was hurt, nothing else caught fire, including the box of dry rags right next to it as you can see. The homeowners and I had a good “laugh” about it and we are just thankful no one was hurt and nothing else was damaged.

But please, read your directions on cans and make sure you follow them and don’t become complacent! Especially with stains and sealers!

This amazing tile work was done a few weeks ago, in Rotterdam! This was two bathrooms completed consecutively! I forgot to get before pictures of the tub shower, but hey, you’re getting the after shot at least!
