Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District’s Zinfandel Training Facility has welcomed its first class of trainees.

We designed it as part of their multi-phase training campus, consolidating training functions and administrative offices under one roof for the first time. Delivered design-build with Diede Construction, Inc. on a tight budget and schedule, the pre-engineered metal building fits a large training program into a compact footprint, with an outdoor classroom that extends learning into the campus beyond its walls.

🎼Working with the Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District, WMB reimagined the Veterans Memorial Amphitheatre as a year-round Performing Arts Center featuring a flexible stagehouse with moveable 20’ high proscenium doors that open to an exterior 400-seat amphitheater. The stagehouse is fully equipped with theatrical rigging, lighting and audio-visual systems. When closed, the proscenium doors create an intimate black-box theater for indoor performances. 🎭

The neighboring 115 year-old Community Clubhouse was refreshed alongside a full renovation of the surrounding park, delivered as one cohesive project.

This weekend the San Joaquin County Historical Museum invited the first of many community members to explore Pioneer Village, a new immersive historical experience. WMB Architect's Doug Davis and Joel Rehbein watched as visitors brought life to the space they designed.

The WMB team hit the green in support of the Emergency Food Bank. We may not have won, but the tournament is always a fun way to give back to a organization doing critical work in our community. 🏌‍♀️

🌟We're excitedly awaiting the Nov. 7 opening of the Walnut Park Library in South Davis.
In the article Sam Harper explains the thoughtful care given to the design choices made to best serve library staff and guests. The library is expected to be a "community hub" brought to a part of the city that was in need of a full-service library. 📚

This fall, Yolo County residents will have a fresh space to read, study, meet and relax in the Walnut Park Library.

🏢We’re excited to see the new San Joaquin County Morgue and Medical Examiner Office come to completion. This modern, single-story facility spans roughly 18,000 sq ft and is designed to better support forensic work and serve families with dignity and respect.

This investment ensures that our medical examiner’s office has the space, equipment, and environment it needs to help bring closure to families, support justice, and care for our community with compassion.

The CaliVirgin Winery & Olive Mill in Lodi’s wine country pushes past the constraints of the agricultural metal building system to create a space that feels both familiar and unexpected. A beautiful courtyard, with views of the olive orchards, and semi-enclosed outdoor areas provide a variety of spaces and amenities for guests as they take in the beauty and treats of the area. 🍃

💜A look inside the new Multi-Purpose Center for Gospel Center Rescue Mission’s New Life Program.

WMB designed this 3-story, 12,400 sq. ft. facility, which will provide 110 beds for men committed to rebuilding their lives. The new space will support the Mission’s work by offering safe housing, resources, and community for those in the program.
